Description
The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Antigua, Guatemala, around 4:00 am. You’ll then be transferred to Guatemala International Airport – La Aurora for your flight to Flores*. Upon arrival at Mundo Maya Airport, you’ll be taken to the Tikal archaeological site.
This expedition offers a chance to stroll through the jungle, marveling at the diverse local flora and fauna. At Tikal, which translates to “place of voices,” you’ll uncover its impressive grandeur. The park, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, spans 576 square kilometers. Beyond the central temples and plazas, numerous significant sites await discovery. The Major Plaza stands as the core of the Archaeological Park of Tikal, encircled by remarkable structures like Temples I and II, known as the North and Central Acropolis. Additionally, a variety of altars and altars contribute to the dynamic history of the Mayan Civilization in Tikal.
A traditional lunch awaits at the tour’s conclusion. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Mundo Maya Airport in Flores to catch a flight back to Guatemala International Airport. Upon landing, you’ll be transferred back to your Antigua hotel.
